Green powers Cats to Mt. SAC title

The Saddleback women's soccer team won the Mt. San Antonio College Nike/Azteca Soccer Classic for a second straight year with a 6-0 win against Palomar College on Sunday.  Chloe Green remained red hot, scoring four times.

Saddleback sent a message early when Alexis Wright took a pass from Emery Simis and scored in the first minute of the game.  Green then scored her first goal of the game in the 18th minute off a pass from Chloe Campagne and the Bobcats quickly had the Comets in a hole.

Saddleback added four more goals in the second half, with Green scoring three of them.  She scored two goals in a one-minute span to make the score 4-0 in the 74th minute.  Green then assisted on a goal from Chloe Campagne in the 86th minute before tallying her fourth goal of the game in the 88th minute for a 6-0 lead.

Green now has seven goals in three games and became just the fifth player in program history to score four goals in a game.

Saddleback started Dublin Synnott in goal and she played the first 45 minutes in improving to 3-0 on the season.  Kadie Albayati played the remaining 45 minutes.

Saddleback is now 3-0 on the season.  The Bobcats will play on the road at College of the Canyons next Friday.  The kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM in Santa Clarita.
