Cats and Chargers battle to a draw

The Saddleback women's soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to 11 games after a 0-0 scoreless tie against Cypress College on Tuesday in Cypress.  The Bobcats and Chargers both allowed few opportunities in the game.

Saddleback entered the contest with a two-game lead over Cypress and tied with Santiago Canyon College in the race for the Orange Empire Conference championship.  The Bobcats maintained the lead over the Chargers with the tie, but fell behind Santiago Canyon after the Hawks defeated Fullerton (2-1) on Tuesday.

The teams combined for just three shots on goal on Tuesday, with Cypress holding a 2-1 lead.  Saddleback's Jamie-Lynne Clark handled both balls on net by the Chargers in playing the entire 90 minutes.

Saddleback is now 12-1-3 overall and 7-0-2 in Orange Empire Conference play.  The Bobcats host Santa Ana College on Friday at 3:00 PM inside the stadium.

Saddleback's unbeaten streak hit 11 on Tuesday with the tie.  The Bobcats have not lost since dropping a 1-0 decision to Chaffey College on September 13.  Saddleback's longest unbeaten streak in history came last season when they remained unbeaten for 15 straight games.   The Bobcats are 9-0-2 during the current streak.
