Four Gauchos tabbed All-Conference

The Saddleback women's soccer team has had a special season in 2016 and with the playoffs starting this week found out four players were named to the All-Orange Empire Conference Team. 

Breanna Taboada, Helene Hollidge, Dz-Rae Jara and Jessica Kron were all recognized by the conference after each playing a part in the 12-3-5 regular season and a fourth place finish in the OEC.

Taboada and Hollidge were named to the first team and were both were huge down the stretch.  Taboada was a pillar on a defense that recorded nine shutouts, including three straight 1-0 victories when the Gauchos were reeling from injuries.  Hollidge was a force down the stretch on offense after two of the leading scorers went down to injury, tallying six goals for the year.

Jara and Kron were both named to the second team.  Jara played all but a handful of minutes in the nets for Saddleback, recording nine shutouts.  She had a 0.91 goals-against-Average for the year.  Kron joined her and Taboada in the defensive end to give Saddleback one of the more formidable back lines in the state.

Saddleback starts the playoffs at Chaffey College on Saturday.
