Bobcats 3rd after opening round
The Saddleback women's golf team finished third in the opening round of the Orange Empire Conference Finals on Monday at Temecula Creek Golf Club in Temecula. The Bobcats were led by Madison Randolph.
Saddleback improved 31 shots from a week ago when they shot 389 as a team at Temecula Creek in an OEC Neutral Match. The Bobcats fired 358 on Monday and sit 11 shots out of second place and 23 shots out of first heading into the final round on Wednesday.
Randolph (pictured) was the leader in the clubhouse for Saddleback, shooting 83 (+11) on the par-72, 6,375-yard trek. Her round was good enough for sixth place in medalist play and just three shots out of second place. Randolph is currently 10th in the conference for the year in average scoring at 83.5.
Following Randolph on the team scorecard was Melissa Elahi (88), Lauren Hambrick (91) and Erica Berger (96).
Saddleback will finish off OEC play with the final round on Wednesday at Temecula Creek.
