Bobcats still unblemished

The Saddleback women's golf team improved to 42-0 in Orange Empire Conference play with a win at Fullerton Golf Course on Monday in Fullerton.  The Bobcats have one more conference match this week before the Orange Empire Conference Finals next week.

Nicole Whipple paced Saddleback with a +5 round of 73 on Monday.  She finished one shot back of Fullerton's Catherine Lee for medalist honors.  Whipple (pictured) and Lee are both vying for the Orange Empire Conference individual title this year.  Lee came into the match leading Whipple by three shots for the year.

Following Whipple in the clubhouse for Saddleback were Caitlin Randolph, Kenzie Edson and Karissa Flores.  Randolph finished eighth in medalist play with a round of 83.  Edson finished just inside the top-10 with a round of 84.  Flores came in at 86.

Saddleback is now 42-0 in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play and leading Fullerton by 11 games in the standings.  The Bobcats are an eyelash away from clinching their second straight OEC title.  It would be the fifth OEC title in the past six seasons under head coach Bob Bosanko.

Saddleback will play again on Wednesday at Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course in Irvine.
