Saddleback women's golfer Brittney Do finished in fourth place in medalist play at the California Community College Athletic Association State Championships on Monday at Morro Bay.  The freshman was also named to the all-state team as a result.

Do was tied for first place after an opening round of 1-under-par 71 on the 5,055-yard layout on Sunday.  She followed up her opening round with a 4-over-par round of 76 on Monday to finish in fourth place overall (147).

Do was 2-over-par on the opening nine on Monday and fell to 5-over through 14 holes before finishing strong for a round of 76.  Her late charge was highlighted by a birdie at the 285-yard, par-4 15th hole.

Do finished one shot out of second place and was six shots off the lead set by Sierra College's Nao Bando, who finished the two-day tournament at 3-under-par (141) for medalist honors.

Do was named to the all-state team as a result of finishing in the top six.  Also making the team was fellow Orange Empire Conference competitor Kylie Sok from Irvine Valley College (5th, 148).
