Gauchos win again at Arroyo Trabuco

The Saddleback women's golf team won its fifth straight match today with a score of 338 at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo.  With the win, the Gauchos have clinched at least a tie for the Orange Empire Conference title with two rounds remaining.

Saddleback had a balanced attack on a hot and windy day.  The Gauchos had a round of 80 from team-leader Brittney Do, who remains in the hunt for the OEC individual title with two rounds remaining in the season.  They also had a sold round of 81 from Deanna Pagaduan and a round of 85 from Brooke Yafckli (pictured), giving Saddleback three solid rounds in tough conditions.

Fullerton's Kaylee Jeon was medalist with a round of 76 as the Hornets finished in second place with a team score of 362.  Irvine Valley was third at 368 while Mt. San Antonio finished fourth at 392.

Saddleback will begin the two-day, Orange Empire Conference Finals on Monday at Los Serranos Golf Club in Chino Hills.  Round two will be played next Wednesday.  Both rounds are scheduled for 10:00 AM.
