Gauchos win again at Black Gold Club

The Saddleback women's golf team improved to 15-1 in Orange Empire Conference play with a solid performance at the Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda.  Brittney Do led the charge, tying for medalist honors.

Saddleback has won three straight Orange Empire Conference events after Wednesday and now sits atop the OEC standings by a solid margin after firing a team total of 328.  Brittney Do was again the catalyst, shooting a 3-over-par round of 75 on the 5,564-yard layout.

Do finished in a tie for medalist honors with Irvine Valley's Kylie Sok.  The freshman from Marina High School shot 38 on the front side and 37 on the back.  She was 1-under-par over the final six holes, hitting 13 fairways and 11 greens in regulation.

Do was part of a solid team effort with Deanna Pagaduan shooting 82, Tannaz Khazeni 83 and Brooke Yafckli 88.  The foursome finished 20 shots in front of second place Mt. San Antonio College and 29 shots in front of Fullerton College.  Both Orange Coast and Irvine Valley didn't have enough players on Wednesday to compete in team competition.

Saddleback will play again next Wednesday at Tustin Ranch Golf Course in an event hosted by Irvine Valley.
