Gauchos win at Temecula Creek

The Saddleback women's golf team moved into sole possession of first place in the Orange Empire Conference after winning at Temecula Creek Golf Resort on Wednesday in Temecula.  The Gauchos shot 333 to win by 15 shots.

Saddleback had a great team performance as all four of the counting scores broke 90.  Brittney Do (left) led the charge with a 6-over-par round of 78.  She was followed by Deanna Pagaduan (right, 82), Brooke Yafckli  (86) and Tannaz Khazeni (87). 

"It was really a great team performance today," head coach Bob Bosanko said.  "Everybody on the team played well."

Saddleback was 15 shots in front of rival Irvine Valley while finishing 23 shots in front of Mt. San Antonio and 24 shots in front of Fullerton.

Do's round of 78 was one shot back of medalist Kaylee Jeon from Fullerton College.

Saddleback will play again at the Black Gold Club in Yorba Linda next Wednesday, hosted by Mt. San Antonio.
