Gauchos go 4-0 at Mesa Linda

The Saddleback women's golf team had its lowest score of the year on Wednesday when it went to Mesa Linda Golf Course in Costa Mesa and defeated all four Orange Empire Conference opponents.  Brittney Do led the Gauchos by shooting 1-over-par.

Saddleback is the defending Orange Empire Conference champions and felt like it had something to prove after finishing second in the opening conference match last week.  The Gauchos did just that, improving by 22 shots over last week's score and going 4-0 for the day.

Do (pictured) was the catalyst, firing a 1-over round of 71 on the 4,591-yard layout.  She led a solid team effort that also included a round of 81 by Deanna Pagaduan and a round of 83 from Tannaz Khazeni. 

It was Saddleback's best team score of the year, beating a round of 324 at the Desert Classic on opening weekend by one shot (323).

Saddleback will play again on October 4 at Temecula Creek.
