2015 Women's golf season begins

The 2015 women's golf season began this week out at Soboba Springs Country Club and the Gauchos are gunning for an improvement over last year's sixth place conference finish.

Sophomore Haley Shadid (pictured) led the Gauchos by carding a 90 on the par-72 course, followed by Ericka Vladovich, Carly Perone, and Kathryn French as the Gauchos finished seventh in the opening match with a team score of 379.

Defending state champion College of the Desert won the event with a team score of 331.

The ladies will tee it up again on Wednesday, September 9, at the Sycuan Country Club course in north San Diego county.
