Two players make All-OEC Team

The women's basketball season came to a close last week and with the end of the season comes post-season recognition.  Two members of the Saddleback squad were name All-Orange Empire Conference this past weekend.

Je Lise Frank and Carina Rubalcaba were chosen by the OEC coaches as second team selections on Saturday.  Both were team-leaders in a number of categories over the second half of the season.

Frank led the team in rebounding, averaging 9.0 rebounds-per-game.  She also scored 7.3 points-per-game while leading the team in blocked shots (22).  Frank's best offensive performance came against Southwestern College when she scored 16 points against the Jaguars.  She also came within four rebounds of a single-game record when she recorded 21 rebounds against Golden West.

Rubalcaba joined the team after the soccer season and started the final nine games of the season.  She averaged 8.9 and 3.8 rebounds-per-game, leading the team in steals (34).  Rubalcaba's biggest game of the season came on February 5 against Irvine Valley when she totaled 19 points against the Lasers.
