The Saddleback women’s basketball program was back in the news this week with the announcement that one of its players has signed at a four-year university. Gaucho Joice Beda will take her game to Claflin University, located in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Two Gauchos earn All-OEC

The Saddleback women’s basketball team was back in the news on Monday when the basketball office announced that two members of the 2018-19 squad had earned all-conference honors. Joice Beda and Kayla De Leon were both named to the All-Orange Empire Conference Team by the coaches.
Sophomores go out in style

The Saddleback women’s basketball team finished the season with a 61-53 victory over Santa Ana College on Friday night in the Saddleback Gymnasium. The team started the night by honoring the sophomores, who then went out and returned the favor.
Beda sets rebounding record in win

The Saddleback women’s basketball team picked up a win against Orange Coast College on Thursday night, defeating the Pirates, 68-60, inside the Saddleback Gymnasium. Sophomore Joice Beda set a new program record for rebounds in a single game with 25.
Gauchos break through at Santa Ana

The Saddleback women’s basketball team picked up its first conference win on Wednesday with a 71-68 win at Santa Ana College. The Gauchos received 20 points and 13 rebounds from Joice Beda in turning back the Dons.

The Saddleback women’s basketball team finished third at the Chaffey College Panther Pride Classic Basketball tournament on Saturday in Rancho Cucamonga. The Gauchos beat the host Panthers in the third place game, 53-49.

The Saddleback women’s basketball team opened the 2018-19 campaign with a 58-50 win over Long Beach City College on Friday night at the Mt. San Antonio College Tournament. Sophomore Joice Beda led the Gaucho attack with 21 points and 17 rebounds.
