The women’s basketball team had two players named to the all-Orange Empire Conference Team on Saturday morning at the post-season coaches meeting at Fullerton College. Raven Herrington and Kayla De Leon were both named to the team by the coaches.

The Saddleback women’s basketball team defeated Orange Coast College, 76-72, on Wednesday night inside the Saddleback Gymnasium. The Gauchos came back from a double-digit deficit behind Raven Herrington.

The Saddleback women’s basketball team got back into the win column with an 86-30 victory over Copper Mountain College on Wednesday in Joshua Tree. The Gauchos received 16 points each from Kayla De Leon and Nadia Taghavi-Dinani in breaking a six game losing streak.

The Saddleback women’s basketball team lost a heartbreaker on Wednesday night when they fell in overtime to Riverside City College, 97-93. All wasn’t lost, however, as freshman Kayla De Leon set the new program record for three-pointers in a game.

The Saddleback women’s basketball team opened the season with a 88-50 win over Rio Hondo College on Friday at the Mt. San Antonio College Linda G. Smith Memorial Tip-Off Classic. The Gauchos led by 21 at the half and never looked back.
