Saddleback surf 3rd in the nation

The Saddleback surf team finished up another successful campaign with a third-place finish at the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) National Championships on Sunday in Dana Point.  It was the third straight finish in the top four in the country.

Saddleback was seeking its fourth national title but settled for a third place finish on Sunday in Dana Point.  The Bobcats had slow start to the season but then rallied back and showed why they are always considered one of the top programs in the nation.  After finishing ninth and sixth at back-to-back events earlier in the season, Saddleback rallied to collect some hardware at the national finals.

Along with a big trophy for finishing third among college teams, Saddleback had two second place finishes in individual competitions.  Audrey Denos was a second place finisher in the women's division while Wes Rehberg finished second in the men's competition.

Congrats Bobcats!

NOTE:  Saddleback won national titles in surfing in 2022, 2014 and 2006.
