Gauchos have solid showing at Mt. SAC

The Saddleback men's cross country team finished in fifth place at the Mt. San Antonio College Invitational on Saturday in Walnut, California.  The Gauchos had six harriers in the top-50.

Saddleback lined up against some of the top competition in the state on Saturday and held their own.  The Gauchos were fifth out of 18 programs, in a race featuring 180 runners.

Saddleback had three finish in the top-30 among team participants.  Brody Ray led the Gauchos by finishing 21st in the 4-mile trek with a time of 22:23.9.  He was followed closely by Jacob King (22nd,  22:27.2) and Dale Neumann (28th, 22:36.4). 

Saddleback had three others in the top-50 with Adam Good finishing 45th (23:12.5), Nicholas Dorsett 47th (23:14.3) and Scott Hickman 50th (23:23.2).

Saddleback will race again at the Orange Empire Conference Championships on October 26 at the Norman P Murray Center in Mission Viejo.  Race time is scheduled for 9:00 AM.
