Men run second at Cuesta

The Saddleback men's cross country team finished in second place at the Tour de Cuesta on Friday in San Luis Obispo.  The Gauchos had all seven runners finish in the top-15 among team competitors.

Saddleback's annual trip to the Central Coast was a success as they finished in second place behind top-ranked Mt. San Antonio College, putting some distance between themselves and Santa Barbara, who finished third among the community college teams.  The Gauchos also finished ahead of the Cal Poly Distance Club.

Saddleback was led by Jacob King, who finished the 4-mile trek in 23:02.96.   He finished in 14th place overall and eighth among athletes associated with a team.

King was followed closely by a host of Gauchos that were bunched together.  Brody Ray was ninth among team competitors (23:13.51), Nicholas Dorsett was 10th (23:14.98) and Adam Good was 11th (23:15.63).  Scott Hickman was 13th (23:58.04), Nicholas O'Briensky 14th (24:04.10) and Dale Neumann was 15th (24:25.65).

Saddleback will compete again next Friday at the Mt. San Antonio College Invitational.  Race time next Friday is scheduled for 10:00 AM in Walnut.
