Bobcats earn the 2-seed

The Saddleback men's water polo team was seeded No. 2 for the upcoming 3C2A Southern California Regional Tournament this week.  The Bobcats get a bye in the opening round and will play on Friday at Citrus College.

Saddleback will play the winner of Long Beach City College and Cypress College, who play on Thursday at 10:15 AM.  The Bobcats will face the winner on Friday at 11:30 AM. 

Saddleback finished the regular season 23-5 overall and 5-2 in the Orange Empire Conference.  The Bobcats have faced both potential opponents this season, defeating Cypress in Orange Empire Conference play (24-10) while beating Long Beach City in the Golden West Tournament in late-October (15-8). 

With four teams from each region making the 3C2A State Tournament this year, Saddleback would qualify for the tournament with a win in the game on Friday. 

Three other Orange Empire Conference teams made the field for the regional tournament, with Golden West College getting the No. 1 seed, Orange Coast College the No. 4 seed and Cypress College the No. 10 seed.
