Dia de los Bobcats

The Saddleback men's water polo team finished 3-0 at the annual Dia de los Muertos Tournament at Southwestern College on Saturday in Chula Vista.  The Bobcats cruised through three opponents to improve to 22-4 on the season.

Saddleback opened with Grossmont College in the morning session and opened up a solid lead before settling for an 11-8 win over the Griffins.  Donald Robertson led the Bobcats with six goals in the victory.

Saddleback then raced through host Southwestern College, tying a season high with 25 goals in a 25-7 rout of the Jaguars.  Robertson and Armand Le Goff led the Bobcats with five goals apiece.

Saddleback finished with a 16-7 win over Palomar College in the afternoon session.  The Bobcats were led by Andrew Barnuevo, who finished with six goals in the win.

Robertson and Barnuevo finished the day with 13 goals each to lead Saddleback in scoring.  Le Goff finished with 10 goals.

Saddleback is now 22-4 overall, which ties for the seventh most wins in program history.  The Bobcats will host the Orange Empire Conference Tournament, starting Thursday.  They will play the winner of Orange Coast and Fullerton, who play at 10:20 AM.  Saddleback will face the winner at 2:20 PM.
