Bobcats blast Chargers in OEC play

The Saddleback men's water polo team improved to 2-0 in Orange Empire Conference play with a 24-10 victory over Cypress College on Wednesday in Cypress.  The Bobcats sprinted out to a huge lead and never looked back.

Saddleback is back from an East Coast trip and showed no signs of jetlag on Wednesday at Cypress.  The Bobcats scored the first six goals of the game in breezing past the Chargers.

Andrew Barnuevo scored three times in the first seven minutes of the game and finished with five goals on the day.  Armand Le Goff also had five goals for the game to tie Barnuevo for the game-high total.  A total of eight different Bobcats scored goals in the game.

Saddleback used three keepers on the day.  Elliot Cooper started and played the opening half before giving way to Ian Manson and Scott Olsen

Saddleback is now 8-2 overall and 2-0 in Orange Empire Conference play.  The Bobcats will take a little breather before playing Ottawa College next Thursday.  They continue OEC play on October 4 at Orange Coast College.
