Bobcats dominate OEC opener

Bobcats dominate OEC opener

The Saddleback men's water polo team opened the Orange Empire Conference schedule with a 25-1 over Fullerton College on Wednesday in Fullerton.  The Bobcats are now 5-0 on the season.

Saddleback looked like a well-oiled machine on Wednesday against a Fullerton team that had no answers.  The Bobcats scored the first 10 goals of the game in the opening quarter to open up a 10-1 lead.  Andrew Barnuevo and Donald Robertson had three goals apiece in the quarter while Nikolas Parmaxis and Armand Le Goff each added two.

Saddleback took the opportunity to get some new players in the game with the score well in hand.  Morgan Lee (pictured) tallied his first goal of the game in the second quarter as the Bobcats took a 14-1 lead into the half.

Lee would add five more goals in the second half, including four in the fourth quarter.  Lee and Barnuevo would lead the Bobcats with six goals apiece.

Saddleback is now 5-0 overall and 1-0 in OEC play.  The Bobcats now head to the East Coast for the Connecticut College Invite.  Saddleback plays three games on Saturday against MIT, Iona and Wheaton.  The Bobcats then play two games on Sunday before heading back home.
