Gauchos fall to Santa Ana in final OEC match

The Saddleback men's water polo team gave it everything they had, but came up on the losing end of an 11-5 match on Wednesday at Santa Ana College.  The Dons opened up a 4-1 lead in the first quarter and held off the Gauchos for the win.

Saddleback kept it close in the first half as Santa Ana led 6-3 at halftime, but pulled away in the third quarter.  The Dons scored three goals in 3:20 to take a 10-5 lead into the final quarter.

Saddleback fell to 3-17 overall and 0-5 in Orange Empire Conference play with the loss.  Next up for the Gauchos is the Saddleback Invitational, which starts on Friday.
