McGinley wins state coaching award

The Saddleback track & field program was back in the news this weekend as it was reported from the track & field office that assistant coach Shaun McGinley was recognized for his efforts this past season. McGinley was named the track & field assistant coach-of-the-year.
McArthur makes his choice

The Saddleback men’s track & field team was back in the news this week when the T&F office announced that hammer thrower Eric McArthur had signed a letter of intent to a four-year university. McArthur will take his talents to the University of Wyoming where he will compete for the Cowboys.
Men’s T&F finishes 9th at state finals

The Saddleback men’s track and field team finished in ninth place at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Track & Field Finals in Bakersfield on Saturday. It was the fourth best finish in program history.
Ydens sets new mark in winning SoCal hammer

The Saddleback men’s track & field team was in San Diego on Saturday to participate in the Southern California Regional Prelims at San Diego Mesa College. The Gauchos walked away with one title as Christian Ydens won the hammer throw.
Gauchos third at OEC Finals

The Saddleback men’s track & field team finished in third place at the Orange Empire Conference Finals on Friday in Riverside. The Gauchos had one individual conference champion and 13 qualifying scores for the regional finals.

The Saddleback men’s track & field team got off to a solid start at the Orange Empire Conference prelims last week in Riverside. Thrower Eric McArthur captured the conference crown in the hammer as the Gauchos sit in second place heading to the finals.

The Saddleback track & field season is nearing the home stretch and a number of athletes are leaving their mark. The Gauchos have top-20 scores in the state from 13 different athletes in 12 different events heading into the final meets of the year.
