Gauchos swat aside Hornets

The Saddleback men's tennis team got back to winning ways with a 6-3 win over Fullerton College on Thursday in Fullerton.  The Gauchos used their depth to swat aside the Hornets.

Saddleback received multiple wins from Chris Torcaso, Chad Henry and Oliver Ludwig in doubling up Fullerton on Thursday in Orange Empire Conference play.  Torcaso was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 4 singles after teaming up with Tyler Bloom for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles.  Henry and Ludwig put the Gauchos ahead with a hard-fought, 9-8 (7-0) win at No. 3 doubles before breezing past their opponents at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.  The most impressive was Ludwig (pictured), who dismantled Matthew Ambriz at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Saddleback will have the weekend off before heading to Orange Coast College next Tuesday.  The Gauchos and Pirates are scheduled to start at 2:00 PM in Costa Mesa.
