Men’s tennis still rolling at 4-0

The men's tennis team rolled to another comfortable win on Tuesday with an 8-1 victory over Santa Barbara City College at the Saddleback Courts.  The Gauchos won 5-of-6 singles matches in defeating the Vaqueros before heading to doubles play.

Saddleback has been rolling in singles play through four matches, dropping just one match for the year.  The lone loss came on Tuesday when Jake Stivers pulled up lame in the third set, giving Santa Barbara its lone win of the day.

Saddleback rolled past the Vaqueros the rest of the way as Riku Goto, Vance La, Kian Saidi, Michael Park and Kris Harris dropped only one set on the day.  The Gauchos played all nine athletes on the roster as Connor Mengert, Zuriel Aaron and Jonathan Elkan all had a chance to play and win at doubles.

Saddleback will get a much tougher test on Thursday when it travels to Mt. San Antonio College to take on the undefeated Mounties (5-0).  The first match is scheduled for 2:00 PM in Walnut.
