Gauchos 3rd at Arroyo
The Saddleback men's golf team finished in third place at the weekly Orange Empire Conference match at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club on Monday. Cole Griffo and Chase Bosanko fired identical scores to finish tied for fifth place in medalist play.
Griffo (pictured) and Bosanko were both 4-over-par (76) on the 7,011-yard layout on Monday, finishing four shots off the lead set by Orange Coast's Bryce Sheridan. One shot behind Griffo and Bosanko was Saddleback's Christian Plasso, who finished in a tie for 12th place in medalist play with a round of 77.
Saddleback finished 10 shots behind defending state champion Cypress College and 19 shots behind first place Orange Coast in the team standings.
Saddleback will play again next Monday in the Orange Empire Conference Championships at Royal Vista Golf Club in Rowland Heights.
