Griffo earns All-OEC honors

The Saddleback golf team finished up conference play on Monday and Cole Griffo earned All-Orange Empire Conference honors by virtue of finishing in the top-10 in individual stroke play.  Griffo will move on to play in the Southern California Regional Finals in Bakersfield next week.

Griffo finished in fifth place in the Orange Empire Conference with a 74.4 scoring average.  He was five shots out of first place after the 10 rounds of OEC play after shooting 77 and 74 on Monday at Los Serranos Golf Course in the Orange Empire Conference Finals. 

Griffo had a low round of 71 this season at Industry Hills Golf Club on March 19 and shot 77-or-lower in each of his final six rounds of the season. 

Griffo is a sophomore from Dana Hills High School.  He will represent the Gauchos at Bakersfield Country Club on Monday in the 36-hole, Southern California Regional Finals.
