McFadden says yes to Seawolves

The Saddleback men's basketball team was back in the news this week with the announcement that one of the players from the 2023-24 team has committed to a four-year university.  Sophomore John McFadden committed to Alaska Anchorage.

McFadden was an All-Orange Empire Conference selection this past season after playing in all 31 games for the Bobcats.  McFadden led the team in rebounds (9.1) while finishing second in scoring (15.6).

McFadden will transfer to the University of Alaska Anchorage, located in Anchorage, Alaska.  The Seawolves play an NCAA D2 schedule within the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

McFadden played in 45 games over two seasons with Saddleback.  His biggest game of his career came in the season-opener in 2023-24 against Antelope Valley when he totaled 32 points on 13-of-20 shooting from the field.

McFadden lettered in basketball at San Juan Hills High School before graduating in 2022.
