Reyes the latest commitment
The Saddleback basketball program was back in the news this week with the announcement that a player from the 2022-23 squad has made a commitment to a four-year university. Sophomore Jimuel Reyes made a commitment to Cal State San Bernardino earlier in the week.
Reyes was an All-Orange Empire Conference First Team selection after a stellar sophomore campaign. He led the team in scoring, averaging 15.3 points-per-game in 26 games during the season. Reyes averaged 14.4 during Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play, shooting 88.9% from the free throw line while leading the team with 3.7 assists-per-game. Reyes' best performance in conference play came against Riverside City College on January 9 when he scored 27 points against the Tigers. Reyes scored in double-figures in 15-of-16 games during the OEC schedule.
Cal State University-San Bernardino is located in San Bernardino, California, and plays an NCAA D2 schedule within the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Coyotes finished 31-4 in 2022-23, falling to Nova Southeastern University in the national semifinals.
