Maslennikov says yes to Canisius

The men's basketball program was back in the news this weekend with the news that another member of the 2019-20 squad has given a commitment to a four-year program.  George Maslennikov has given a commitment to Canisius College, according to the basketball office.

Maslennikov came to Saddleback from Depaul University and played in 25 games for the Gauchos this past season.  He averaged 6.8 points and 4.5 rebounds-per-game while shooting 57% from the field.  Maslennikov scored in double-figures six times this past season with a season-high 18 points against College of the Canyons on November 23. 

Canisius is located in Buffalo, New York, and plays an NCAA D1 schedule within the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.  The Griffins finished 12-20 in 2019-20 and were 7-13 in MAAC play.

Maslennikov is the second member of the 2019-20 squad to give a commitment to a four-year program.
