Feitl is latest Gaucho to sign

The Saddleback basketball program is back in the news as the basketball office announced on Monday that sophomore Josh Feitl has signed a letter-of-intent.  He's the fifth member of the 2016-17 squad to make a commitment.

Feitl will continue his basketball career at Hope International University, located in Fullerton.  Feitl is the fourth Gaucho in the past three years to commit to the Royals.  Hope International was 26-8 in 2016-17, making it to the second round of the NAIA Championships.  They play in the Golden State Athletic Conference.

Feitl played in 46 games over the past two seasons and averaged 14 minutes-per-game for Saddleback in 2016-17.  He averaged 3.0 points and 2.2 rebounds-par-game, shooting 43% from the field.  Feitl's biggest game of the year came against Glendale College on December 30 when he scored 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field.  It equaled his high of 11 points scored against Santa Ana in 2015-16.

Feitl becomes the fifth member of the 2016-17 team to sign with a four-year university.
