Saddleback College will be hosting the 19th annual Bill Brummel Classic men's basketball tournament this Thursday through Saturday (Dec. 15-17) in the campus gym.
Some of the best teams in Southern California will by vying for this year's tournament title during one of the final non-conference events before each of these teams dive into their own conference schedules. Games are at 1:00, 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday with Saturday games at 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. before the championship game is played at 4:00 p.m.
Mt. San Jacinto (11-5) will face L.A. Trade-Tech (9-4) in Thursday's opening game at 1:00 p.m., followed by Irvine Valley (6-5) hosting San Diego City College (12-3) at 3:00 p.m. Long Beach City College (2-7) will battle MiraCosta College (7-6) at 5:00 p.m. and Saddleback (10-2) will be hosting College of the Canyons (4-8) in the featured game at 7:00 p.m.
Saddleback takes over the No. 1 slot in the regional poll this week after winning the Riverside City College holiday tournament last week. San Diego City, Mt. San Jacinto, and Irvine Valley each were listed among the top teams in the region.
