The Saddleback men's basketball team was back in the news this week when the basketball office announced that forward Brandon Fagins has signed a letter of intent to Washburn University.  A total of eight players from the 2015-16 squad have now signed scholarships to four-year universities.

Fagins will continue his career at Washburn University, located in Topeka, Kansas.  Washburn is an NCAA D2 program that plays in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.  The Ichabod finished 15-13 overall in 2015-16.

Fagins was a two-year player for Saddleback, participating in 67 games.  He averaged 3.5 points and 3.7 rebounds-per-game this past season, finishing second on the team with 40 blocked shots.  Fagins had a season-high 10 points on two occasions this past season, scoring in double digits against Citrus College on December 9 and Fullerton College on February 17.  He also recorded a season-high six blocked shots against Mt.
