Young gives Saddleback seven commits

The Saddleback men's basketball program is back in the news this week after it was announced that another member of the 2015-16 team has committed to a four-year university.  Forward Daniel Young gives the Gauchos seven commitments for the year after his decision to play at Hope International University.

Young played in 20 games this past season, averaging 4.1 points and 2.8 rebounds-per-game.  He shot 65% from the field in 37 games over two years and recorded 21 blocked shots.  Young scored a career-high 15 points against Orange Coast on February 19, 2016, to help the Gauchos defeat the Pirates 78-43.

Young is originally from Valley High School in Nevada where he was a McDonalds All-America nominee and an all-state selection, playing on the varsity team for four years.  Hope International is located in Fullerton, California, and plays under the NAIA umbrella in the Golden State Athletic Conference.  The Royals finished 26-7 overall and 13-3 in conference play this last season, finished second in the GSAC.
