Bio

Bournes enters his second year at Saddleback after graduating from Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley, CA.  As a freshman, Bournes made his presence felt as a reserve on a team that won the Orange Empire Conference crown. Bournes earned Scholar Baller recognition in his freshman campaign, and averaged nearly five points and two rebounds game while appearing in 29-of-30 contests. During his high school career Bournes was the league MVP and a second team All-CIF selection. Bournes’ defensive toughness and shooting ability have made him an important piece to the 2014-2015 Gauchos.

Coach Ground's Quote: “Andrew has grown up significantly over the past two years. I cannot say how proud I am of Andrew in his ability to battle through adversity. His basketball ability has never been an issue as he is a very talented player who can make plays for himself and his teammates. His defensive toughness will be something we rely on heavily this season. Andrew has earned the right to be a leader on this team, and many of the younger guys look to him for guidance. We expect Andrew to have a successful sophomore campaign.”
