Patterson is the latest Bobcat to commit
The Saddleback football program was back in the news this week with the announcement that another member of the 2021 team has committed to a four-year university. Linebacker Brian Patterson becomes the 12th member of the team to make a commitment as he gave a pledge to Shaw University.
Patterson is a sophomore from John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson, New Jersey. Previous to Saddleback, he spent a season at San Diego Mesa College.
Patterson will continue his collegiate career at Shaw University, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Bears play an NCAA D2 schedule within the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
Patterson showed off his diversity as a player in 2021, playing both defense and on the special teams. As a linebacker, Patterson finished with seven tackles while on the special teams he was on the receiving end of two, two-point conversions after touchdowns.
