Rodriguez is latest Gaucho to sign
The Saddleback football program was back in the news on Wednesday as another member of the 2019 squad has made a commitment to a four-year university. Sophomore defensive lineman Danny Rodriguez signed a letter-of-intent to Southwest Minnesota State University.
Rodriguez played for two seasons at Saddleback, totaling 21 tackles, 4.5 tackles-for-loss, one sack and one forced fumble. He becomes the 19th Gaucho from the 2019 team to make a commitment.
Southwest Minnesota State is located in Marshall, Minnesota, and plays an NCAA D2 schedule within the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
Rodriguez lettered in football at Capistrano Valley High School before graduating in 2018. While at CVHS, Rodriguez was the defensive lineman-of-the-year and part of a league championship team.
