The Saddleback football program had two more athletes sign letters of intent this past week as both Segun Olubi and Darryl Wyrick made commitments to four-year schools. This brings the total of commitments to eight for the year.

The Saddleback football program had two players from the 2018 squad sign letters of intent to four-year schools on Wednesday. Tony Williams and Brandon Smith both signed with Old Dominion University, with many more to come.

The Saddleback football season ended on a high note, winning the Patriotic Bowl and finishing with a 7-4 overall record. The Gauchos were rewarded with 15 different players making the All-National Southern League Team.

The Saddleback football team defeated Bakersfield College, 34-31, in the Patriotic Bowl on Saturday night in Mission Viejo. Gaucho kicker Matthew Freem drilled a 32-yard field goal in the final seconds as Saddleback finishes the season on a high note.

The Saddleback football program inched closer to a milestone this weekend when quarterback Cam Humphrey became the 25th member of the 2017 team to make a commitment to a four-year program. Humphrey will continue his football career at the University of Montana.
