The Saddleback baseball program was back in the news this week as the Gaucho coaching office announced that two more members of the 2019 squad have committed to four-year programs. Filip Smola and Chris Demgen made commitments, bringing the total to 10 for the year.

Sophomores lead Gauchos in regular season finale

The Saddleback baseball team closed out the regular season with a 10-1 win against inter-district rival Irvine Valley College on Friday at Doug Fritz Field. The sophomores came up big as the Gauchos closed the regular season with a sweep of the Lasers.

The Saddleback baseball team received a pitching gem from Trevor Harris in beating Irvine Valley College, 4-1, on Thursday in Irvine. Harris pitched a complete game as the Gauchos improved to 20-18 overall.
Canty delivers historic walk-off

The Saddleback baseball team had to go 15 innings to beat Irvine Valley College, 10-9, on Tuesday at Doug Fritz Field. The game lasted four hours and 29 minutes before Joseph Canty delivered the game-winning hit.
Gauchos chop down Sequoias in opener

The Saddleback baseball team started its three-day road trip at College of the Sequoias with a 9-5 win against the Giants in Visalia. The Gauchos rapped out 14 hits while taking advantage of six errors from Sequoias.
McCartney wins #200

The Saddleback baseball team won for a second straight day at College of the Sequoias on Wednesday, 7-1. The win was No. 200 for head coach Sommer McCartney.

The Saddleback baseball program received some big news yesterday when it was announced that former Gaucho Josh Fuentes had been called up to the major leagues by the Colorado Rockies. Fuentes delivered with a single in his first at-bat last night against the Dodgers.
