Dand will still be a Gaucho

The Saddleback baseball program added another to its list of transfer this past week when they announced that sophomore pitcher Connor Dand has committed to UC Santa Barbara.  Dand becomes the 12th member of the 2018 squad to sign a letter of intent.

Dand will be a Gaucho for two more years as both Saddleback and UC Santa Barbara share the same mascot.  The sophomore finished 2-0 this season in 16.2 innings of work.  He started three games for the Gauchos this past spring, striking out 11 opponents. Dand appeared in 16 games in two seasons at Saddleback, striking out 20 in 30.1 innings of work.

UC Santa Barbara is located in Santa Barbara, California and plays in the Big West Conference.  The Gauchos were 27-28-1 overall in 2018 and 10-14 in Big West play.

Dand becomes the 12th member of the Saddleback team to commit to a four-year university.
