Hughes says yes to Concordia

For the second straight day, the women's volleyball program had a member of the team commit to a four-year university.  Nickie Hughes gave a verbal commitment to Concordia University on Thursday.

Hughes came to Saddleback from Dana Hills High School where she lettered in volleyball before graduating in 2017.  She is partners on the beach volleyball team with Ayla Fresenius, who committed to UC Riverside earlier this week.

Hughes and Fresenius are 11-3 on the season in pairs competition.  They were the No. 4 seed for the Orange Empire Conference Pairs Championships, advancing to the round of 16 on Wednesday. 

Concordia University is located in Irvine, California, and plays an NCAA D2 schedule.
