Saddleback Athletic Trainer Earns National Award

Saddleback Athletic Trainer Earns National Award

Saddleback's Certified Athletic Trainer, Brad McReynolds, was selected as the 2016 National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) national Athletic Trainer of the Year for community colleges and small colleges.

McReynolds, who has served as an Athletic Trainer at Saddleback since 1988, will receive his award during the NATA Conference which will be held June 22-25 in Baltimore, Maryland.

The award is presented annually to someone who has been nominated by a peer familiar with their work.  It is in recognition of excellence in their field, active involvement in their community, campus, and athletic training associations, as well as their promotion of the profession.

Before coming to Saddleback, McReynolds held California community college athletic training positions at Diablo Valley College and Cosumnes River College in northern California.  In 2003, he was selected as the California Community College Athletic Trainers Association (CCCATA) state Athletic Trainer of the Year.
