Bio

Brett Franchino graduated from the University of Oregon in 2019 with a B.S. in Business and Economics. While at Oregon, he served as a Warsaw Sports Business Club member, where he participated in major campus events while serving under the VP of Career Development. Brett spent time interning with the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer as a Youth Camps Coordinator. 

Brett earned his Masters of Sports Management degree at Long Beach State in 2020. He completed a Sports Information and Research internship with Global Sports & Entertainment, who represents the likes of ESPN, Fox Sports, and SB Nation, as a talent booking and event management firm. 

Most recently, Brett has served as the Sports Information/Marketing Director for the past three seasons at Cypress College. In his time at Cypress, he collaborated on multiple projects to enhance the Chargers athletics programs such as: 

• Athletics Gym scoreboard to video board upgrade
• Branding of tennis, soccer, softball, baseball, and basketball facilities 
• Renovation of weight room and individual team rooms
• New integration of student athlete success center
• Cypress Athletics internship program in conjunction with Long Beach State University

Brett has served as the SID rep for the Orange Empire Conference men's and women's golf programs for the past two seasons while serving as the Secretary for the Orange Empire Conference under commissioner Albert Gasparian. 

Brett has a strong background in game management, marketing, writing, fundraising, and event management, which will all prove beneficial to elevating Saddleback College Athletics.

Brett currently resides in Garden Grove with his ​wife Cristina and dog Russell where he is an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
