Bio

Lynch was named the head coach for the Saddleback men's program in early February, 2017.

Previous to Saddleback, Lynch started his coaching career at Costa Mesa High School in 1989 where he coached the Mustangs to five consecutive Pacific Coast League titles, winning a CIF title in 1992.  He then took over the aquatics program at Capistrano Valley High School in 1994, leading the aquatics teams for the Cougars until 2001.  During his time at CVHS, Lynch’s Capistrano Valley programs earned a CIF semi-final berth in boy’s water polo in 1997 and a girl’s appearance in 2001.  He then coached at Newport Harbor High School from 2001 to 2010, making three appearances in the CIF Finals.  His 2007 boy’s squad captured the CIF championship and he was named CIF Coach-of-the-Year.  In recent years, Lynch has served on the coaching staff at Foothill High School and serves as the Coaching Director of SoCal Water Polo, a club program located in Tustin.  In addition, he was the National Team Head Coach for Team USA Water Polo at varying youth levels from 1997 to 2013.
